The Commission of Counter Ghoul (CCG) is the primary organization dedicated to investigating and eliminating ghoul threats. Based in Tokyo, the CCG employs trained investigators who wield Quinque — weapons crafted from ghoul Kagune — to combat dangerous ghouls.
About the CCG
Founded to protect human society from ghoul predation, the CCG operates a complex hierarchy ranging from Rank 1 investigators to the elite Special Class. Each investigator is trained in combat, investigation, and Quinque usage. The CCG also conducts research into ghoul biology and develops new anti-ghoul technologies.
The organization has multiple branches throughout Japan, with the main headquarters in Tokyo. The CCG's most significant advancement is the Quinx project, which surgically implants ghoul Kagune into humans to create investigators with ghoul-like abilities while maintaining their human willpower.
Key divisions include the S3 Squad (elite investigators), the Quinx Squad (Kagune-enhanced investigators), and the Research Division (ghoul biology and Quinque development).
